What are ticks and Bleed?
Print ticks and bleed are crucial elements in the world of printing, ensuring high-quality and professional results. Print ticks, or registration marks are tiny crosshairs placed on a print job to help align and register different colours accurately. They ensure that each colour layer aligns perfectly, preventing misalignment issues.
Bleed refers to the extension of artwork or design beyond the trim edge, typically 3mm or more. This extra margin accounts for potential variations in the printing and trimming process, guaranteeing that the final product looks seamless and polished.
Both print ticks and bleed contribute to the precision and perfection of printed materials. If you’re unsure of how to set up ticks and/or bleed, contact our studio on hello@print-co.com.
