Print Co named Local Entrepreneur of the Year!
A Nottingham-based print and signage business owner has capped off a year of significant expansion and commercial success by being named Local Entrepreneur of the Year by Entrepreneurs Circle (EC).
Andy Middleton, co-founder of Print Co, was recognised at the Nottingham and Derby EC Local Event following a year that included securing major national contracts, growing the team and expanding both facilities and services.
The award was presented during a recent EC Local Event, which now brings together business owners from Nottingham and Derby as part of a merged regional community, with circa 50 members in the area.
“Andy’s progress over the past year has been exceptional,” said Greg Simpson, founder of Press For Attention PR, who is both the local ambassador for Entrepreneurs Circle in Nottingham and Derby and runs the entire PR campaign for the thriving business growth specialists across the UK.
“He has combined strong commercial wins with smart operational decisions, all while continuing to invest in the long term strength of the business. That balance is exactly what this award is designed to recognise.”
Andy was previously named a monthly EC Local award winner after securing a string of high profile contracts, including work with Marks and Spencer, YMCA and Notts County Football Club.
Building on that momentum, Print Co has continued to grow, taking on two new members of staff in 2025.
The business has also recently moved into new premises, doubling the size of its facility from 700 to 1,400 square feet to support increased demand and future growth.
Alongside physical expansion, Andy has broadened Print Co’s service offering by introducing in house creative design. The move allows clients to access design, print and signage under one roof, strengthening client relationships and improving turnaround.
The award recognises not only headline growth, but Andy’s willingness to keep evolving the business model and investing in capability as demand increases.
Accepting the award, Andy Middleton said: “I’m really pleased to receive this award. It’s been a big year for the business and a lot of that has come from backing ourselves to grow properly, not just chase work. Winning new contracts is great, but the focus has been on building the team, expanding our space and adding services that genuinely help our clients. Being part of the EC Local community has been a big support in that process.”
The merged Nottingham and Derby EC Local Event brings together entrepreneurs and growing business owners from across the region to learn, collaborate and share what is working in the real world. In 2025, EC Local evolved from traditional meetings into more immersive business events and experiences, designed to support practical learning, peer connection and momentum.
“Entrepreneurs Circle is about helping business owners build businesses that last,” said Nigel Botterill, founder of Entrepreneurs Circle. “Andy’s story shows what happens when ambition is matched with action. Winning major contracts is one thing but backing that up with investment in people, premises and services is what turns growth into something sustainable.”
